Maybe it felt extra tedious because I was listening to this book instead of reading it so it was 17 hours of my life I can’t get back. I can’t believe it was that long and there’s a sequel. The first chapter of the book is how it ends/starts and we still don’t know what happened after 500 pages and hold on I just looked it up and it’s going to be a TRILOGY?? The characters were predictable, the love triangles boring. There was only one twist in the book that caught me by surprise. I felt like there was no character growth. I get easily emotional but the saddest I got was when a horse died. I feel like I already know what’s going to happen in the next two (!?) books.
