I really enjoyed this entry in the series.  We see Sam more than running a murder investigation.  The parts focused on family were really resonated.  We see the same snarky Sam but she is definitely growing as a person.  The book does end with a cliffhanger.  I can't wait to get the next installment.  I would highly recommend this series but it is essential to read from the beginning.
