The Mighty Avengers, Vol. 1: The Ultron Initiative
by Brian Michael Bendis, Frank Cho
Alright, listen this book is an entertaining read I can’t deny that. Now to add onto that the brother title New Avengers also written by Bendis is just much more interesting.
So Tony Stark director of shield needs some new Avengers on his side so he makes a new team. For the most part they work but you’ve got some questionable choices on there like The Sentry. I don’t think I’ll ever give a fuck about Sentry, he reminds me of a Superman that isn’t all that interesting.
And once this team has formed for an hour Ultron shows up and the next five issues are dealing with him. And it’s entertaining, some of the thoughts bubbles are funny. But it’s a bit forgettable outside the first issue and the cliffhanger it ends on.
2 stars.
