This is such a top notch collection of horror shorts!
I was looking forward to reading this, because I love Edward Gorey's work, and I hoped his sensibilities would translate to this curated collection of eerie short stories. Happily, The Haunted Looking Glass absolutely lived up to my expectations. Most of the stories in this collection were great, with only a few pretty okay stories, and the drawings that accompanied each story nicely set the tone and added to the Gorey-ness of it all.
Very glad I brought this home with me from the Edward Gorey House (which, by the way, is a must-visit for any Gorey fan in Massachusetts. Can't recommend this place highly enough)!
