I decided to give this "spin off" series a look. Ryder Creed is a dog trainer who specializes in, well, training drugs for literally anything. Drug Dogs, Cadaver Dogs, War Dogs.....James Bond has impossibly convenient gadgets and Creed has a dog for every purpose it seems.
Maggie O'Dell is a part of this story. Of course, I found chapters with her involved the most compelling. This time the case involves cartels, drug lords, and human trafficking. Maggie and Creed get wrapped up in their own ways with a twisted cartel member who likes to torture victims with stinging bugs, and dumps their bodies in the river for the FBI to find to send a warning. But a warning to who?
