The Contortionist by Kathryn Ann Kingsley
3.0
After finishing the Maze of Shadows installment by the same author, I needed another series, similar to that one. So, I went to check what the author had in her portfolio and I saw this series that had some intriguing potential: a weird plot + dark romance + immortal creatures.
If you want to check out my revies for the Maze Series follow the links for each book here:
The Unseelie Prince(Maze of Shadows, #1)//
The Unseelie Crown(Maze of Shadows, #2)\\
The Unseelie Throne (Maze of Shadows #3).\\
The Unseelie King (Maze of Shadows #4)\\
Unfortunately, this series did not strike a chord with me. It leaned too much on the “weirdness” part, even for me. The main love interest was waaay too creepy, way close to “unhinged” for my liking. I hardly could pretend that that was fine when all my alarm bells were blasting at full force.
From this series I read just this one and the second book, the The Puppeteer (Harrow Faire, #2)
