The Serial Killer's Wife
by Alice Hunter
I would call this novel mediocre. It's not a difficult read, goes pretty quick, but the story was... honestly pretty lame. The title is literally the story.
Initially Beth glosses over the underbelly of her marriage and it seems like they're the perfect little family. (But of course, the TITLE OF THE BOOK indicates differently.) Then Beth mentions her husband likes control. Then it turns out he's killed 2 women and confessed to her. Then a third victim is found. I think it's supposed to be a surprise that he's actually a serial killer, but the LITERAL TITLE ruins that. I guess it supposed to be a "surprise twist" that Beth turns out not to be a great person but I mean... She knew her husband killed two women and didn't say anything, so again... We already knew that? Pretty weak plot. Pretty weak story. It's been done before by others, and waaaay better.
