my goodness i absolutely adored this book!!

otis and greta, for all their flaws and faults, are such wonderful characters. they make mistakes just like the rest of us, and at the heart of it all truly are two people just trying to find their way in this messy world and navigate their own trauma and heartache to try and be better for themselves and for the people they love (including each other)

i think my favourite part of stories like these is that every character feels relevant, no matter how little or a lot of them we see; every side character felt important when we see them in the storyline and every character is so genuinely loveable! my personal favourite is cèline and farid’s relationship and how much they love one another, through good and bad. mama morgan was also amazing, i loved her sm!! and how can we forget about greta ans otis’ true soulmates; elise and herik!? i love their relationship but also their friendship with greta and otis; both characters are so funny and loving and i adore them wholeheartedly.

also, the notes/reminders and playlists!? LOVED!! it was the cherry on top, and really gave this extra layer of insight into otis and morgan and who they are, i love that they had playlists for for each other and themselves, and the way the songs reflected what they were going through and feeling in certain moments.

this book was such a good read, started my year off right! i loved greta and otis’ journey, both as a couple and as individual people :)

rutherford and miriam, you will have my heart forever <3
