Worms Eat My Garbage: How to Set Up and Maintain a Worm Composting System by Mary Appelhof, Joanne Olszewski
informative
lighthearted
medium-paced
5.0
As a worm bin beginner, I love this book! This one is labelled as the 35th anniversary edition that has been revised with updated information and I completely get how it's been a best selling book because it's a fantastic guide.
It covers everything from going over different types of worms and what works best for composting, how to choose and/or even build a worm bin, bedding materials, what to feed the worms and general care. All the information is very clear and easy to read. I appreciate that they emphasize that there is no one way to run a bin. It also really emphasizes on how little effort it actually takes to have a working worm bin, and how it doesn't have to be complicated whatsoever, which I really appreciate.
It's not really a must-have book. You can easily find tons of information about worm bins all over the net, and I already knew a lot of the basics before opening this up. BUT this is such a great one-stop guide for composting with worms and I highly recommend it if you're a beginner like me.
