The dialogue! The interactions! The insecurity! The behaviour! The cultural identities! The diversity! The racial conflicts! The ideologies! The generational divides, and the mindsets of migrants, that hit especially hard when I'm third-generation. Admittedly, on reflection, I don't think the book had much to say about them - it was a highly intricate depiction, rather than an explanation, or an attempt to find answers.

But, God, was this funny. It was hilarious.
