Destructively Mine by Krista Ritchie, Becca Ritchie

3.5

i was so excited to get into this book after where the story left off at the end of dishonestly yours. i really love the found family aspect of it all. the group dynamics and mannerisms of these characters were core six coded at the heart of it and i love that! they are not complete without each other and would go to the ends of the earth for one another.

this book took me a bit longer to get into, but it picked up in the second half with the unexpected twists and love triangle. when the truth about their families was revealed, it made me appreciate the foreshadowing. i would love to see the other characters’ pov, especially oliver and hailey. i’m so invested in them and have such a soft spot for them. also that one scene with trevor had my jaw on the floor, he is a wildcard and mystery. rocky and phoebe continue to bring the sizzling chemistry with the drama and angst.

i can’t wait to see how everything wraps up in the last book in this trilogy. here’s to more twists and secrets unfolding.

tropes: small town, found family, best friend’s brother, boy obsessed

thank you so much to berkeley, netgalley, and kbr for the e-arc!
