A Hero For WondLa by Tony DiTerlizzi
4.0

NOTES:
-reread
-wowowow my thoughts haven't completely organised themselves as its 1:30 am and I've literally just finished reading but tell me why I enjoyed this book so much more than its former.
-The story was so much more developed and the world felt very real and complete compared to the first book.
-The writing seemed soooo much better in this book and I don't really know why. It got really deep and philosophical in some parts and I loved it!
-Eva Nine is a pretty well written character if you ask me and although the illustrations make her look 16 she is a believable 13 year old (she gets angry and irrational at times and learns gradually from the beings around her). Her growth is very realistic and touching.
-Again, the illustrations are gorgeous and I can't get enough of them.
-There are ,I feel, some questionable elements like Eva and Hailey's relationship which I'm not 100% happy with and the rushed ending which wasn't a dealbreaker but did feel quite wasted.
-This sequel made me feel so many things which I was not expecting, lemme rant for a lil' bit: Hailey is such a great character and I was so mad at Eva for being so horrible he literally almost sacrificed his life for you and you still don't forgive him like what??. Rovee is my favourite character his backstory is so sad and the bit in Faunas had me in my feels. The Arsian siblings are so interesting and unique I love them as a concept and the character design is priceless. OMG EVA EIGHT IS SO SELFISH AND I HATE HER. The End.
-Overall this book was extremely enjoyable and although it isn't the strongest this series has come on in leaps and bounds since the first. I am very excited to read the last (for the first time!!)
