A Divided Duty by Ben Vizard

4.0

This book took me by surprise, in such a good way. I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but I got really wrapped up in this heartwarming historical fiction, I read it all one on sitting! It was such a beautiful story that I wish was true, I want to write to Emily and Richard, Mira and Beatrice and tell them I loved their story and I’m rooting for them all.
I’m not usually a fan of a dual POV, but this book pulled it off really well. I was actually looking forward to the switch between Emily and Hansen after every chapter.
It's a super easy read, and this book really had a soothing, calming vibe, like a breath of fresh air.
The characters were all beautifully written although some of them took a bit of time to figure out.
If you're into historical fiction, this one needs to be on the tbr!
