Okay so despite being considered the first book in The Dukes of War series, this is essentially a prequel novella. It's barely a hundred pages (my Kindle said 146, but the last 20% or so was excerpts of some of the author's other books. And it was FINE - cute and fluffy and everything you could want in a Regency romance. But at the same time, I felt like I barely got to know the characters and the characters barely got to know each other before they were madly in love and engaged.
But, like, it was free and I definitely got my money's worth.
