Renegade's Magic
by Robin Hobb
I was quite disappointed with this trilogy in comparison to Hobb's other works.
It was still readable, but her character(s) were not very endearing. The main protagonist has a split personality and both sides are equally annoying. The question remains for a good part of the book as to whether they should merge as one and the "good" side continues to fight against it. But I found myself thinking oh, god - just do it already and move on already. The secondary characters were also grating, far more so than in the first two books. This last book really fell flat like the author got bored of the storyline and just tied up all loose ends quickly.
You should read it if you read the first two books, but it won't leave you wanted more stories from this world.
