Devoured this book in a day, something about it had me hooked. The writing style made it super easy to read and I immediately connected with the characters and they grew in a realistic way. The growth of their friendship and confidence in themselves and what they deserve was lovely and entertaining at the same time.

Molly's development felt so real for someone who has just gone to college for the first time and needs it to be different to what experienced in high school. It's a little bit of a bumpy journey but she's so genuine and sweet that you are rooting for her to be more confident and comfortable in herself. She grows to stand up for herself and realise what she wants.

Alex, again, good character growth and it's so nice to see her view herself as important as well. She was fun, funny but also genuinely caring throughout, even though this wasn't a trait she saw in herself. I liked that she didn't try to fundamentally change Molly with the dating plan but instead just built on what was already there showing her she could do it. The backstory with her mum felt important to her character and explained why she was initially closed off and found it tricky to bond with people on a deeper level but she was a great character.

Some of the side characters slipped to the side for me like Abbey didn't feel like a necessary character and didn't bring anything apart from being Cora's friend and being a way to even out the group numbers. But some did bring something, Cora was integral to the plot and the glimpses we saw of Alex's boss and his backstory were actually really nice and made him feel important even though he didn't play a huge role in the story.

I really liked the ending for the two of them, it felt like the start of something rather than the end. There were a few things that maybe could have been expanded on in an epilogue like what happened for both girls with their relationship with their mum's and how their relationship progressed or how they acted when they were actually in a relationship because we never actually get to see that. But that's just a personal preference.

A great book overall.
