This book is pitched as a Gilmore Girls, Luke and Lorelei type, small town romance. Personally, I didn’t really get that. There are clear references, like Dream Harbor, and the rough manly guy in the flannel. And that’s about it. I more so felt like the characters resembled Jess and Nick from ‘New Girl’. The main character Jeanie did not at all feel like Lorelei to me. I did like the small town vibe and that made it fun. With this being a shorter book, it took me a good bit to get through it. I felt that it moved kinda slow and it was pretty cliche some of the results to issues that arise between Logan and Jeanie. I think this book was fine, but towards the end I just found myself wanting to be done reading it, even when they finally got together the spice just was not it for me.I would recommend going  into this not expecting Gilmore Girls. I was really excited about this because I do love Gilmore Girls, and I am glad that I read it, unfortunately it wasn’t for me. I hope others are able to enjoy it more.
