i love to be unsettled & i do not dream of labor .. but i think there just wasn’t enough in this book ! the tone was so good but i wanted more exploration into the surreal side rather than just explanation (see: long ass descriptions of the animals). if only there was more going on between the animals and ppl (literally only got a taste in the last like 5 sentences of the book
