I figured this book would have some powerful things to say about racism and White supremacy based on the number of [racist] people who think this book should be banned.
Collage art and a homemade vibe, this book covers the important topic of the White privilege of shielding White kids from things like police brutality against BIPOC, racism, violence, voter suppression, injustice, profiling, etc., whereas BIPOC kids don't have that privilege because it affects them from Day 1. I think this is a great way to introduce this topic to young children. Parents me be surprised at how much kids are already aware of.
