Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare

you know when you wanna like a book so badly but you just can’t. yeah. that’s this book.

the premise is so good and i feel like it had so much potential. but the characters are flat and one-dimensional, making the story unbearable to get through. also, literally nothing happens for half the book. like it takes one hundred and odd pages for anything interesting to happen

also. no teenagers act like this. this is literally just what adults think being a teen is. the teenagers are so badly written it’s embarassing to read. stop writing teenagers like they’re stupid, self-centered babies whose worlds revolve around social media and live-streaming. it’s getting old.

may i suggest another book that has well written characters, a rural setting, and gory kills? there’s someone inside your house by stephanie perkins
