Did not finish book. Stopped at 49%.
The characters are for the most part passively participating in a narrative that happens to them rather than making decisions to drive the plot themselves. Relationships between these characters are surface-level and I have a hard time believing in them because of it. Got halfway through and none of this tune changed so I didn't have much faith for the latter half.
