Overall, it’s a good book. As a character, Abby *is* annoying, but I thinks that’s what makes her character her character! I feel like the book could’ve been shorter on the time spent outlining their journey on trying to have a child. The details that mattered from that journey didn’t require as much time spent. I was ready to get to the part where the surrogate enters the picture lol.

That means said, Abby and her inner thoughts were hilarious to me because there were so many signs along the way. But it was intended to happen in a way that she was questioning herself, and I actually appreciated that for the plot line. I even got to the point where I was hating Sam!!! Even started to wonder about what he knew/didn’t know. A lot of people said this was predictable and to some degree, yes. But I don’t think that affected the story for me. It was still interesting. If you’re looking for a shorter read that’s not really an “exciting” thriller, this is a chill, good read. I enjoyed it. The effort that this surrogate put into making things happen for herself was so wild 😂 but that’s what I liked about it.
