Mama's Boy: A Story from Our Americas by Dustin Lance Black

5.0

This is a wonderful book about being a son, a brother, a gay man, a writer, a Hollywood insider, a fighter. It’s also about being a woman who had to battle her body and her world for all of her life, and to come out on the other side of each battle. I related to a hell of a lot of it, even though DLB and I would have come from very different backgrounds. He’s a terrific writer - he has undoubted moments of cheese and corn, particularly as an audiobook narrator - but overall this is a great read.
