Definitely didn’t like it as much as every summer after, but that’s ok! the author’s note helped compact my feelings for will and I really appreciated Carley’s honesty about postpartum ocd, but it still left me a little frustrated about will’s choices. peter was the mvp, i thought the diary / adolescent fern rebellion buildup was a little anticlimactic, I hated Jamie and both will’s sister and Whitney annoyed me. HOWEVER! Will and fern’s chemistry was sweet and I loved their og day together. And also the drawing reveal made me gasp out loud. So overall still a good read, esp fun to read while at the lake :) i kind of wish I grew up at a dirty dancing resort
