I finally had time to read the final installment of the Shetland Island series. I'm so sorry to have the series end (although I am enjoying the new Matthew Venn series), and I loved the optimistic ending. I gave this 5 stars not for great literary merit but Ann Cleeves is a master of mystery-writing and this book is a great example.
