Skylight Confessions
by Alice Hoffman
After reading through the mixed reviews on this book I decided to tackle it anyway--I'm so glad I did! I really enjoyed it. It's very different than a lot of books I have read. From the beginning it starts off with a dark mysterious feel and continues that way throughout. I like the 3 different narrators in the book, and the way they all tell the same story through different perspectives. While this is not a "feel good" book per say, it is a book that I had a hard time putting down. I was invested in the characters and their thoughts. The one thing I didn't like was the constant reference to "Stones". I mean--we get it. The glass house, the glass everything...she didn't have to be so obvious with her references. A little more subtlety could have made this book better... but overall I do recommend it.
