This is a tough read. The events in the book are not for the faint hearted, having said that, it also follows the typical KA formula, Hot Alpha Guy who is utterly devoted to his girl.
Sylvie reminded me a bit of Ally from the Rock Chick series, Knight says she is like a female version of Creed, I am not keen on the female alpha type roles but as with Ally, from The Rock Chick series, when you get to know her, she has a vulnerable side and a caring mothering nature.
There is a mystery story-line, Sylvie does some work for Knight and they are having problems with Nair so they work to sort that but this means so we see plenty of Knight and some of Rash and even Anya but the main focus is on the re-connection of Sylvie with Creed.
KA writes fantastic family dynamics and this also is delved in to in this book with Creed having an ex who he has dealings with(I won't explain why as it may spoil).
If you have been reading the series you will want to read this one.
