Katharine Center is quickly becoming a must-read author of mine, and I hate how long it took me to pick up her books! I adored this one, and it very much felt like a friend telling me about a complicated time in her life before we met because I listened to it on audio.

In this clearly Cinderella Story, I thought the face-blindness disability representation was fantastic, although I would love to hear from someone with this condition since this isn't a disability I have. It's not something I see in books often, and clearly, Center did her research based on her author's note and acknowledgments. I didn't fully understand face blindness before, so after reading this, I feel like I learned something on top of reading a sweet romance.

As a Cinderella story, the family dynamics were well-written, and I was glad to see some of the villainizing of her family lessen as she spent time with her step mother and father!

Typically, I don't enjoy miscommunication, but it is a major plot point of this book. It is obvious to the reader what the problem is from the start, and instead, it becomes interesting to see how the MC and everyone around her will figure out what's happening.

This book kept me super engaged, and the Love Interest sounded like such a perfect book boyfriend!
