Not bad for my first book of the year - it was great! Solid 4 stars, honestly. I took a little break from this series so that I didn't get overwhelmed with too much of the same characters, and now that I've dipped my toe back in I remember why I loved the first two so much. Excellent writing, and I loved Dean. And the TENSION? Brilliant. My sticky tabs are all over this book.
MINOR SPOILERS
I'm not sure how I felt about the third act breakup... I didn't massively like that it was there, but also I understood both of their reasonings. I did think that if THAT was the reason they had to break up, it was written well. Either of them could have really come off as the bad guy if it was written differently, and yet you could understand them both, and it wasn't enough of a mistake that you thought they should never get back together again.
