While just a tiny bit slow to start, this book is easily one of the best books I've read. A completely engaging and thought provoking story that explores some big issues: what is someone's "nature" and if they can alter that, thoughts vs. actions if that distinction even matters in your view of self and others, being an outsider. All great topics hashed out in a captivating story without being pedantic or heavy-handed in those explorations, and for me, most importantly, not pushing the reader to a certain conclusion - just lighting the fire of thought on those topics and making you love the characters that are provoking those thoughts. Most certainly one I would happily read and re-read.
