Doctor Strange, Vol. 2: The Last Days of Magic by Jason Aaron

3.0

I wasn't as crazy about the follow-up. The story was too decompressed, taking quite a bit longer than necessary to resolve. Ironically, the art is way better in this volume than the first collection. It was easy to follow as well as being pretty to look at. I guess ultimately I'm a words > pictures kind of guy.

The extra tale after the story, which chronologically comes between issues 6 and 7, feels like a deleted scene, but it's a full issue. Problem is, it's not really needed. We got all of that information through the regular story.

It's still worth the read, though, because it is solidly constructed and follows through on the premise. I was rather hoping it would be a little more clever by the end
Spoilerand that Strange would have a modicum of mercy for the bad guy
