I started reading it thinking it would be a love story between Darcy and Elizabeth but it is soooo much more than that, and Darcy only interacts in it ab a 35% of the whole thing
I actually loved that it didn’t centre the plot on their relationship, but it was more of a critique on the system back then. I was amazed at how powerful Jane Austen’s writing is, specially considering the context in which it was written. Also, Elizabeth is such a complex character, it was very interesting to read and notice her different traits and her and Darcy’s development throughout the story.
It was hard for me to get through it but mostly because I couldn’t focus on reading it but I think I would’ve liked it more if I’d appreciated it better.
