Holiday Romance Readathon 2023: 7
This started off a bit weak but got stronger as it went. There's not much time spent at the beginning establishing the characters, they just kind of start talking and then fucking very quickly, and it kind of feels like fanfic (just in the way that with fanfic you don't have to tell the readers anything about the characters because they're already meant to be familiar with them). But as the story went on I felt some of the angst the characters were feeling about saying goodbye to each other. I also really enjoyed the Christmas in Hawaii setting and all the talk about food (it's not a holiday romance if it'snot obsessed with food)
