If I could award this a galaxy’s-worth of stars, I would. The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet is quite possibly one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time. Absolutely stunning.
In this book,we follow a widely diverse crew of aliens who are on their way to do basically a space road construction job. This book made me both smile and cry. Becky Chambers knows how to create feelings of found family in ways that truly make you feel all warm and cozy inside. My favorite characters: Jenks, Kizzy, Corbin, and Sissix.
I appreciated the themes centered around diversity, cultural ethics, religion, love and what it looks like, and what makes a body sentient.
I cannot wait to pick up book two!
