This was a cute read, altho it felt slow at times pacing-wise. Recommend to anyone who loves a tsundere, an angy l'il guy. Also - a rare story where I felt like the best friend character was fun and didn't just feel like a spot to drop some token diversity (I feel like a lot of authors do this - diversify their writing in very lip service ways by making minor characters POC or queer but not giving them depth) and instead really added nuance to the story. Ryan's got her own quiet journey that she can't perfectly articulate to Wren, but they work through the distance between them in a comedic way that fits perfectly with the tone of the book. Ryan and Wren also really feel like family - it's very real and very sweet.
