Forging Silver into Stars by Brigid Kemmerer
5.0

This is my very first Brigid Kemmerer book -- it will NOT be my last!

I stumbled into this book completely unaware of Kemmerer's other books/series and with NO knowledge of the Cursebreakers series. I am sure I missed a TON of references, but I LOVED this book on its own.

By page 20, I was DEEPLY invested in the story and characters. I couldn't put the book down. I loved how Kemmerer built Jax and Tycho's relationship, issues around intimacy, but a willingness to forge on. Tycho was an amazing character!

Jax and Cal's friendship was lovely. The interpersonal conflict and resolution was relatable, without unnecessary stress and drama that often feel unrealistic and immature. It FELT like a true, longterm friendship.

The story was very interesting! The ending was heartwarming. There were many little twists and some took me by surprise. I REALLY hope there are more books for these characters. I adore Sinna, Jax, Nora, and Cal!

Excellent book! I highly recommend it!
