Half Broke Horses: A True-Life Novel by Jeannette Walls

3.0

I didn't really know what I was expecting, and I still don't know how I feel about this book. On one hand, once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. On the other hand, I kept questioning its authenticity. How could one person live a life like this? Walls herself admits that she took facts that she knew to be real and stories she had heard but that she filled in some of the details, so it's in between fiction and nonfiction. But still. I just can't believe this was one person's life.
