My Favorite Thing Is Monsters by Emil Ferris

3.0

I enjoyed this graphic novel, but I found myself thinking "Let's sit down and get through this" more than "I can't wait to see what's next." It wasn't bad, I just didn't feel any connection to the characters. Alternating between a historical drama, a family drama, and a murder mystery, I wasn't sure where it was going most of the time, and I'm not entirely sure I understand everything the author was going for. It was certainly a unique publication with some great moments and excellent art.
