In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin by Erik Larson

2.0

I have really enjoyed other books by this author, but this one, not so much. The story of a history teacher who becomes the American Ambassador in Berlin during the start of Hitler's reign. Partly fact, partly fiction. It moved so slow, that I found myself glazing over long sections and then deciding that I really didn't want to reread them. I had heard so many positive comments surrounding this book that I thought I would love it. I did not.
