Short and enlightening.
The story followes Kim Jiyoung's life as she experience the injustice on Korean women. This hits deep because as an Asian woman in an Asian country, I relate deeply to all of this. It might not be as bad now, but I've experienced first-hand the Patriarchy system. The writing is simple and straight-to-the-point, making this an easy and short read. By the end of this book, I was full of emotions. I'm enraged, I'm sad, I feel suffocated at the situation. But most of all, I wanted to give Kim Jiyoung a big hug.
