#readingchallenge2022 (my tech themed book)

Concept: a 5 star synopsis: a time traveler gets trapped in the past- stranded for 18 yrs he starts a family, gets a job, has a life, then finally is returned to his time and becomes plagued with the paradox of impacting the past he left behind

Execution: a 2 star story: I love another reviewer’s description, “a book concept that included a beginning and an end with no content in the middle.” Kin is incoherent, self-centered-I didn’t care about his journey because he made ridiculous mistakes, bad decisions, and was flat.

Everything was forced, lacking creativity, but instead relied on tropes-ugh he even referenced Dr. Who, which would be ok if he wasn’t clearly saying ‘this is a rip-off a Dr. Who episode’ in the worst writing possible- like a disservice to time travel writing
