The only reason this was not 5 stars I because I hated her mom Rupa for majority of the book, I wasn’t too fond of this white woman (Aunt Trish) that they claimed was more Indian than them because she knew so much about their culture and language. She is white, not Indian. lastly I understand why she chose to marry herself but that process has just never made sense to me. I would just call it a commitment ceremony to show your love for yourself.
