And when I think things couldn’t get any better, here comes N.K. Jemisin and proves me wrong.

The world is still ending and the matter of saving it or ending it is yet to be decided. This book had more character depth than the first one, which I absolutely adored. Essun, who is currently in Castrima, gets reunited with Alabaster who apparentely is not dead. SURPRISE. We get Nassun’s point of view, her journey with her father, the relationship between her and Essun, which so far we only got from Essun’s perspective.
