This was an unique romance! Nyx and Nate are both very strong and independent, successful individuals who are each used to looking out for their siblings. They meet because his identical twin brother is dating her best friend/younger sister. The attraction is instant, but Nate has been warned by his brother not to get involved with Nyx so as to not mess up Langford’s relationship with Persy.
Neither Nate or Nyx can ignore the other and their witty banter is constant. Nate stays in Nyx’s orbit doing what he can to stay near her, to do what he can to make things easier for her and to solve her problems. Incrementally, they go from casual acquaintances to very close friends. The attraction summers between them as they work through past hurts, and other issues. They stand up for each other and develop an intense emotional relationship.
This was my first book by this author and it was an enjoyable change of pace from the typical romcoms and other romance tropes. I received an ArC an am leaving an honest review. I’m interested in reading the previous book in this series as well as the next book in the series about Eros.
