This was v beautifully written and a gorgeous, reflective read on the sometimes tragic reality of love, devotion, and relationships. I loved how it flickered between the past and present, the momentousness of A&E’s first love and their second attempt all those years later - it felt like we were with them, going over and over those feelings and that nostalgia, processing through the novel as they did with their music or poetry. Really imaginative retelling of Oprheus and Euripides, and I loved the insight into fame and parasocial devotion too. My heart was lowkey shattered it didn’t work for them
