I was partly scarred by this book, but also a little let down. For a literary classic, it deserves it's title purely for its content, as I have never read a book similar and don't think I ever will. However, the content was also a little strange sometime, no tin the obvious way. His madness and decline were just a little confusing, which I think is on purpose, but it led me to lose my vision of the scene. Still, a great book - definitely recommend.
