The Railway Children
by E. Nesbit
I own two beautiful copies of this children’s classic, and I still ended up listening to the audiobook on BorrowBox instead 😂 but I didn’t realise how short it was so I actually ended up listening to it all in one day while pottering about the house and wrapping Christmas presents!
Although this is technically a children’s book, it’s definitely one for any age! I’m not normally one for historical fiction, even in children’s books, but I did enjoy this one! I loved the family aspect in this one and the bonds the siblings had. I won’t lie, I’m writing this review a good few weeks after reading it and I can’t remember much of the actual plot 🤦🏻♀️ but I do remember kinda enjoying it. I won’t say it’s a favourite classic of mine, or that I’ll be going back to it again, but I’m glad I read it! I always collect gorgeous classics like this on my shelves and most of them are sat unread, so it’s nice to tick one of them off! ✔️ 😂
(Not the best review let’s be honest 🙈 sorry 😂)
