4.5. I thought the writers did really well building a narrative that illustrates the mind f*** that happens after long term emotional abuse/manipulation, especially when it what ends it is a massive “WTF?!” moment. The over-questioning of everything that ensues or incorrectly viewing something the wrong way because you know that you didn’t notice/acknowledge the crap that was handed out before, is completely understandable. That being said, the chapter with Nick’s parents seemed very unrealistic—and that’s where the .5 was lost.
