- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? It's complicated
- Loveable characters? Yes
- Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

just was not my cup of tea …
Pros:
- love the way bodies and sex were discussed in the books
- some great and interesting moments on the road trip with the locals (wish there was more of this — makes me wanna read Kerouac in its entirety)
Cons:
- didn’t really care about the relationships in the text
- the characters weren’t actually that fleshed out to me
- the plot just didn’t really move? Idk
Just really didn’t enjoy very much, and the narrator’s role was confusing and kind of extraneous. I get that it’s about generational change and queerness, but her role in the whole thing felt odd
