This is a good book! Parts of it stand out, like the diverse story telling, philosophical thoughts and quotations, and an overall thematic interpretation that leaves an impression. There are other parts that I didn’t enjoy as much like the overall despair throughout the beginning and middle, which I understand is necessary, just thought it stuck around too long. Then towards the end of her library journey there are a couple chapters that feel like we get lost in the weeds and don’t add much to the overall plot. Finally, the end is drawn out a few too many pages I think to really have a stronger impact. Still, it’s absolutely worth reading. If nothing else, it’s a quick read and one that will leave you thinking of life in hopefully a slightly altered way.
